Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Location: Orlando, FL

The role you’ll contribute:

The Intake Supervisor oversees the Intake Coordinators and manages the day-to-day intake operations from all referral sources. Works collaboratively with Operations and referrers to assure a safe transition to home care. Assists the department in meeting agency goals.

  • Provides guidance and support to intake team in managing the day-to-day operations of assigned intake employees to ensure safe transition of patients into home care services. Assists in the coordination of home care services for complex cases, facilitates problem resolution

  • Develops employees through individual and team coaching; involves employees in the process of self-development; facilitates regular employee meetings to hear employee updates and concerns; and offers guidance, input and suggestions on best practices.

  • Identifies, develops and implements strategies and actions to improve intake staff performance.

  • Manages, monitors and audits referral/intake processes to ensure timeliness, accuracy, procedural compliance and transmittal of referrals to appropriate program.

  • Implements and manages documentation and reporting systems for all referral sources.

  • Interprets AdventHealth Home Health policies and procedures for intake staff and referral sources.

  • Collaborates with Business Development leadership and/or referral sources to identify, develop and implement strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the intake program.

  • Collaborates with account management to achieve admissions targets.

  • Implements strategic initiatives with Business Development and Operations teams

  • Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role. Ensures effective staff training, evaluates staff performance, provides input for the development of the department budget, and hires, promotes, terminates staff and recommends salary actions, as appropriate.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.

  • BLS Certification

  • Minimum of three years as an intake clinician or related experience in community health, health care administration, Long-Term Home Health Care Program or discharge planning required. Including 1 year of supervisory experience.

  • A clear/active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
